Sardinia, situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, is the second island for extension and has app. 1.850 kilometers of coastline and a staggering variety of landscapes: Sardinian coasts are full of beaches, sand dunes and long golden shores, cliffs which are lapped by the blue water of Sardinian sea.
The interior is a mix of plateaus, plains and mountains – the highest point is Punta La Marmora in the Gennargentu Massif at just 1834m. Some artificial lake and numerous ponds.
